Carissa Field

Photo of Carissa FieldCarissa Field is native to Connecticut and worked in “Corporate America” for 7 years before answering her calling to teach yoga, provide personal training, and massage therapy.

Her energy is contagious! Her passion for philosophy, music, and spiritual growth has served her clients and her community well over the years.

Carissa’s core services include teaching yoga, personal training, and massage therapy.

Her services are not, however, limited to those practices! She has vast experiences working with small, medium, and large sized groups. Her clients have included Wheeler Clinic (Yoga for troubled teens), multiple corporations providing Employee Appreciation Days (Chair Massages), Trinity College (Yoga for Trinity Men’s Rowing team), and the CT Judicial Department (Motivational Speech ‘Healthy Living’ delivered to employees). These are only a few examples of the myriad of services Carissa has and can provide.

The bottom line is to make sure Carissa is involved in your life. The results will not only be improved mental and physical fitness but most importantly an enhanced strengthening of spirit and commitment to self (team or individual!).

Jane Willenbrink

Jane WillenbrinkJane began practicing yoga during her sophomore year at Goucher College in order to manage the stresses of school and college life. Yoga proved to be not only a great stress-reliever, but also a heart-opener and avenue for spiritual awakening. Due to her desire to share the asana practice and its gifts with others, she started the Goucher Yoga Club in the spring of 2005 and began teaching students for free. This experience encouraged Jane to pursue yoga teaching in a broader sense and led her to enroll in an apprenticeship program at the I Do Yoga studio in Towson, MD, work as a SEVA volunteer for a month at Kripalu, and eventually brought her to West Hartford Yoga where she completed the 200-hour yoga teacher certification in June 2008.

Over the years Jane has studied a wide range of yoga styles including Bikram, Ashtanga, Kripalu, Baptiste Power Vinyassa and WHY Power. As a teacher, Jane strives to bring a sense of humor and a sense of passion into every class while supporting students in their physical, spiritual, and personal development. Her yogic path has been one of opening and learning that in order to create positive change in the world outside of ourselves, we must first go in.
